About Us Memorial Şişli Hospital, the first hospital of the Memorial Healthcare Group, which started accepting patients in 2000, provides services with its departments that stand out as reference centers worldwide, its distinguished academic staff composed of expert physicians in their fields, its patient-centered service approach, diagnosis and treatment units equipped with advanced medical technology, modern architecture, and innovative healthcare approach.
Memorial Healthcare Group, which is expanding its service network with 11 hospitals, 2 medical centers, and 1 wellness center, laid the foundations of Memorial Şişli Hospital in 1996, which would become the first reference center not only in Turkey but also in the world. The project, developed with the support of ECRI, one of the most prestigious consulting firms in the U.S. healthcare sector, was established on the European side of Istanbul, in Şişli. Memorial Şişli, whose name would be associated with trust and leadership, also became the future of healthcare in Turkey. The hospital building was completed in approximately three years, and the first patient admission took place in February 2000 at the hospital, which was equipped with the most advanced technology of its time, as expected in an international healthcare institution.
Memorial Şişli Hospital introduced Turkey to the JCI (Joint Commission International) Accreditation Certificate, which sets standards for quality and safety in healthcare based on numerous criteria, becoming the first hospital in Turkey and the 21st in the world to receive this certificate, which certifies world-class quality healthcare services.
